Snowshoe Adventure

Ladies! Let's strap on the snowshoes and go on an adventure!

Follow an expert as they lead you safely through complex avalanche terrain. We will snowshoe across the frozen lake, through a gorge, angle up through steep sections in the trees, and soak in the spectacular views. After perfecting our snowshoeing technique on the steeper sections we reach flatter terrain where it opens up into a beautiful basin.

About this Adventure...

From here you can see our destination for the night; the Bow Hut, high up on the headwall. Your jaw may drop with the view, but we have one final push up over the headwall of the Wapta Icefield before we reach the hut.

This trip is not for the faint of heart! You will be following an ACMG Guide through avalanche terrain and crossing over frozen lakes and creek beds. It will be an awesome adventure but one will need to be prepared for the mental and physical effort.

Our partner on this adventure is Jenna Nodding from Get Outside Adventures! Besides being an all around incredible human being and adventurer, she is an ACMG Hiking Guide, she is certified by the Interpretative Guide Association, and has her Advanced Wilderness First Aid with CPR.

Please note: the second guide attending this event is a male guide.
