We are excited to be teaming up with our friends at Hunter Valley Adventures to offer you an exhilarating weekend of rafting, hiking, yoga and more! Experience Class II to Class IV rapids, a beautiful waterfall hike, guided yoga in nature, and more! This weekend getaway will have you sharing stories around the campfire, sleeping in cabins and disconnecting to reconnect with nature.
Day One - Time to Disconnect...Welcome to Nature!
Today you will meet the weekend gang! Arrive at Hunter Valley Adventures, located near Sundre, Alberta between 6-7 pm.
If you are flying in, we recommend flying into Calgary International Airport (YYC) and renting a car as the property is not located on a public transit route.
If you are driving, Hunter Valley Adventures is located approximately:
- 1 hour an 45 minutes from Calgary (133 km)
- 3 hours and 3o minutes from Edmonton (310 km)
- 5 hours and 25 minutes from Cranbrook, BC (470 km)
Once you have arrived, you will settle into your cottage and meet your bunk mate for the weekend. The evening is yours to enjoy, mingling with the other women and enjoying the surrounding nature.
Snacks will be provided around 7:30 pm; we suggest you have dinner beforehand. We will spend the rest of the evening getting to know one another while enjoying a bonfire under the starry sky. Don't forget your Zzz's to night so you are ready for tomorrow's white water rafting adventure!
Day Two - White Water Rafting Adventure & Guided Yoga
Wake up to camp coffee, hot tea, and a continental style breakfast where a variety of oatmeal, bagels and toast are offered.
After breakfast you will pack a bagged lunch before we head out for the day. The activity today is a full day of white water rafting! We will first raft the lower portion of the Red Deer River. Lunch will split up our day as we hop on the bus and head up towards the upper portion of the river. Rafting all the way back to camp we will hit everything from Class II to Class III rapids.
After rafting it's time to relax! Wind down for the evening with a guided yoga session. Tonight you will be treated with a delicious BBQ, prepared for you while you curl up in a hammock with a book or simply wander around the beautiful property taking in the fresh air and forest sounds. The evening will conclude with a bonfire and/or games.
Day Three - Chasing Waterfalls & Goodbyes
Breakfast will be a repeat of yesterday with plenty of coffee and hot tea to go around.
We have one last adventure for you today! Come along on a guided hike to a beautiful waterfall, or if you like you can pack up and head out to explore on your way home. We do ask that your items are packed up and the cabins are emptied by 10 am.
After a morning excursion, it's time to say our goodbyes to all the new friends you've made and the beautiful surroundings.
We look forward to our next adventure with you!
