Day 1 - Welcome to Del Norte County!

Arrive in Crescent City, CA on the evening of September 22nd and meet at our private accommodations. On your way to this quaint, coastal town named for its crescent-shaped sandy beaches, you’ll get your first views of the giant and majestic Redwood trees. If time allows, we recommend making a pit stop to enjoy a short stroll through one of the Redwood forests.

If you are flying in to join us, the nearest airports are:

 - Crescent City, CA (CEC) Del Norte County Airport
 - Medford, OR (MFR) Rogue Valley International Airport (approximately a two-hour drive)
 - Eureka, CA (ACV) California Redwood Coast – Humboldt County Airport (approximately an hour-forty minute drive)

If you are driving, Crescent City is located approximately 6.5 hours ( 355 miles) from San Francisco and 5 hours and 45 minutes from Portland, Oregon (326 miles).

Arrive at your cozy, vintage accommodations (in downtown Crescent City) and settle in for the weekend. Check in is anytime after 5 pm. You’ll be treated to hors d’oeuvres when you arrive. Spend the evening getting to know the ladies who you’ll be sharing this grand adventure with while relaxing on outside on the patio. If you arrive by 6:45 pm head out on a short walk to the nearby Beach Front Park and catch the sunset over the Pacific.

Day 2 - Horseback Rides and Beach Exploring

Wake up to the smell of the fresh ocean air and grab a cup of coffee along with some breakfast to enjoy on the patio. After you’ll head out for a day of exploring the coastal shores!

In the morning we’ll saddle up and head out on a two hour guided horseback ride with Crescent Trail Rides that will lead us through the sand dunes, down the beach, and back through the pine trees and meadows. After the ride, spend some time exploring Kellogg Beach known for its treasures of agates and driftwood.

After a morning of exploring Kellogg beach, we will head back to Crescent City to continue our exploration of this beautiful coastal city. We will start the afternoon with a stop at the Rumiano Cheese for a tour and opportunity to taste their curated artisan products. They have been perfecting their craft since the early 1900s and you will definitely be happy we stopped by!

Next we will be checking out the local beaches and lighthouses . First we will visit Battery Point Lighthouse Beach followed by a hike through the Tolowa Dunes State Park to a viewpoint of the St. George Lighthouse. After a little bit of exploring the dunes, we will head back into town for a private brewery tour at SeaQuake Brewing Co. where we will finish the evening with a delicious group dinner.

Day 3 - Redwood Canoe Rides & Scenic Drives

Wake up to the smell of fresh brewed coffee. Grab your breakfast and enjoy the smell of fresh ocean air as you get fueled up for a once in a lifetime adventure today!

As we make our way down to our grand adventure, we’ll take the scenic route though the Newton B Drury Parkway located in the Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park. This will likely be one of the most stunning drives you take in your life! Along the way you’ll pass under a tunnel of trees and truly be among the giants. Along the way you’ll have an opportunity to stop and hike a few of the trails of your choice. There’s a ton of options and you’ll have a few free hours to explore this area. Some of the must-hike trails include Fern Canyon, Big Tree, and Carruthers Cove Trail plus so many more!

We will be heading out for a one of a kind experience that is only available in Northern California! Today you’ll float down the Klamath River in a traditional Yurok Redwood Canoe.

This tour is unlike any tour you have experienced before!! Each canoe is dugout and hand carved from a Redwood tree. As you glide naturally across the water’s surface, a Yurok guide will share stories about the ancient traditions, history and way of life of the Yurok tribe. You’ll also learn about the wildlife, geography and history of the Klamath River. This experience will leave you feeling at one with the river, ocean, and forest.

Day 4 - Guided Energy Balance Exploring Redwoods

Today you’re in for a BIG treat! After your morning coffee and a delicious breakfast, we will be heading out to explore the Redwoods for a guided energy balance and release hike and meditation.

We will be guided on a hike through the Redwoods and once we reach out destination, we will take in the magic of the beauty around us. Laying under a canopy or Redwoods, our guide from Soul Feet Retreat will lead us through a meditation that will cleanse, strengthen and refresh our energy. This balance release session will leave you feeling uplifted, rejuvenated and connected to yourself. As a parting gift you’ll receive a sacred infused crystal to take home to recall these practices when needed.

We will enjoy a packed lunch picnic surrounded by giant redwoods and then the rest of the afternoon is yours to spend leisurely exploring the trails of your choice in the nearby Redwood National and State Parks.

After a full day of frolicking under the tallest Redwood trees in the world, we will head back to Crescent City for a group dinner. At the end of the day we will head out to the beach for a bonfire as we watch the sunset over the Pacific ocean.
