At 9:00 a.m. you will be picked up for your tour. Today we’ll explore the nearby Island of Delos, one of the most important historical, mythological, and archaeological sites in all of Greece. The island is brimming with extensive excavation sites, and we’ll see countless landmarks on a guided tour. Gaze upon the ancient ruins of once-monumental structures, such as the Terrace of the Lions, Temple of the Delians, and House of the Masks, to name a few.

The tour will finish around approximately 2:00pm. We will return to Mykonos Village to enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant, followed by a free afternoon to enjoy wandering local shops or relaxing at a local beach with a book.

Tonight you will have the opportunity to explore town and enjoy dinner at a local restaurant of your choice.

Begin your day with a hearty breakfast at the hotel.

After enjoying breakfast, you will be picked up at 9:30 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. cooking class. Today we’ll embark on a village tour and cooking class with a local Greek Family. Our culinary hosts will welcome us into their beautiful Mykonian home and treat us like family, in what’s bound to be a true highlight of our trip. They’ll teach us about Mykonian history and culture, share stories about their family life, and make us feel as if we’ve known them forever. We’ll learn about the true Mykonian lifestyle and taste some traditional meze snacks, such as dakos with kopanisti cheese and tomato, louza (sun dried pork fillets), full-bodied wine, and Cretan raki. Wander through fresh vegetable gardens and learn about local organic farming under the warm Greek sunshine. In the kitchen, we’ll make tzatziki and spinach pie, stuffed peppers and tomatoes, beef with orzo, and several other delectable dishes.

For lunch we’ll gather around the table with our host family, sharing stories over our culinary creations.

That afternoon we will return to our hotel around 4:00pm where the rest of the day and evening are yours to wander through the streets, explore the city and have dinner at your leisure.
