This adventure is rated 2 out of 5 difficulty level. Activities are cultural in nature and any hiking activities will be rated as moderate. There are no add-ons that include any activity that is physical in nature. Walking tours are included and you should be comfortable being on your feet and managing uneven steps, sidewalks and streets.

This 10-day adventure is all about experiencing Morocco in a real, meaningful way. We’ll explore the winding streets of Marrakesh and Fes, where ancient traditions live alongside everyday life. From the blue-hued charm of Chefchaouen to the rugged beauty of the Dades Valley, every stop offers something new to discover.
We'll hike through red canyons, ride camels into the Sahara and sleep under stars so bright they don’t seem real. We’ll wander vibrant souks full of spices, textiles, and handmade treasures, and learn the stories behind the people who make them. There will be mint tea on rooftops, shared meals with welcoming families and plenty of time to soak it all in.
This isn’t just a trip—it’s a chance to step outside your routine, connect with like-minded women, and experience the heart of Morocco through its landscapes, people, and traditions. Morocco is waiting. Let’s go explore it—together!








ITINERARY

Welcome to Morocco! Today you will be arriving at the Marrakesh Menara Airport (RAK). There will be up to three group transfer services provided from the airport to the hotel.
Check into your 5-star hotel and enjoy the rest of the day however you like. Relax by the pool, book a spa appointment, or catch up on sleep.
We will meet in the evening for a group welcome dinner.

Guided city tour visiting the Koutoubia Mosque, Jemaa el Ana Square, and Bahia Palace.
Explore Jemaa el-Fnaa market with time to shop
Free time to enjoy a Moroccan hammam, explore botanical gardens, or explore a local museum. Dinner is at your leisure

Relax on a 7 hour scenic drive through the Atlas Mountains crossing the Tia N Tichka pass.
Along the way we will stop to visit Air Ben Haddou, known as Morocco’s “most beautiful village".
Arrive in Dades Vally and settle into our Riad (guesthouse) for the next two nights.
Tonight enjoy dinner with the group.

Explore the Dades River Gorge on a 4-hour guided hike to visit Monkey Fingers and gain a glimpse into life in rural Morocco. This is rated as a moderate hike.
Stop for lunch at a local restaurant.
Arrive at the hotel in the early afternoon and enjoy some downtime.
In the evening we will enjoy a homemade meal featuring local dishes and learn about the Berber culture, traditions and daily life.

Enjoy a 6 hour scenic drive to Merzouga, the “Gateway to the Sahara”
Stop to hike Todra Gorges, a series of towering limestone river canyons and enjoy lunch before completing the drive to Merzouga.
Spend the night at a billion stars tented camp in the Sahara desert. Tonight we will enjoy the stunning scenery with drumming music, songs, and dinner.

Sunrise in the Sahara is an experience you don’t want to miss!
After breakfast we check out and make the 8 hour drive to the ancient capital of Fes.
Stop to stretch and enjoy a short visit to Ifrane known as ”Moroccan Little Switzerland.”

Explore the city of Fes, a thousand-year-old city and Morocco’s religious and cultural heartland
Visit the Medina of Fes, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Stop of lunch before crossing under the Bab Bou Jeloud to explore New Fes on a walking tour.
Visit a local leather tannery to learn about the traditional treatment and dyeing process that has been passed down for centuries.

After breakfast, enjoy a 4 hour drive to the famous Blue City of Chefchaouen.
Enjoy lunch upon arrival
In the afternoon we will explore the city visiting the Plaza Ute el-Hammam, the 18th century kasbah and tower, and the Grand Mosque.
Evening is free to enjoy at your leisure.

After breakfast, enjoy a scenic hour drive to Casablanca.
Enjoy lunch upon arrival
City tour of Casablanca visiting places such as Mohamed V Square and Hassan II Mosque.
Farewell group dinner

If you are traveling solo, you will be assigned a roommate upon request. Rooms are assigned on a first come basis.
Please inquire if you are interested in a solo room upgrade, it may be available upon request.
A deposit is due at booking to hold your spot with regular monthly payments. Additional payments may be applied to the trip balance prior to payment due dates.

All meals will be provided as noted in the itinerary. Please reach out to the trip host after booking if you have any food allergies/sensitivities. We always do our best to accommodate dietary restrictions but cannot make any guarantees.

This trip requires a minimum number of women to register in order for it to be confirmed. Once the trip reaches the minimum participant number, you will receive a trip confirmation email and a link to be added a private Facebook group just for trip guests. In this group further trip details will be provided along with pre-travel support. Please let us know if you do not have or use Facebook (see contact information below).

All deposits are non-refundable at the time of booking, but may be transferable if done so within the timeframe outlined in the Terms of Service. Please make sure you are purchasing adequate travel insurance at the time of booking to ensure you are covered in case you need to cancel.

Travel (and medical) insurance is required for anyone traveling on a Women Who Explore adventure. Your insurance should include adequate protection for overseas medical treatment, evacuation/repatriation, your baggage and equipment and the specific activities involved on your adventure. Your insurance policy should also include specific Covid-19 cover, including cancellation and curtailment cover if you or a close relative are diagnosed with Covid-19.
