Mexico City: Dia de los Muertos

October 26-November 3, 2025

let’s celebrate together!

This adventure is rated 1 out of 5 difficulty level. Activities are cultural in nature and any hiking is very light with the purpose of getting to a viewpoint. There are no add-ons that include any activity that is physical in nature. Walking tours are included and you should be comfortable being on your feet and managing uneven steps, sidewalks and streets.

Mexico City comes alive during Día de los Muertos with vibrant altars, marigold-covered streets, and colorful parades. The city’s main celebrations take place in places like the Zócalo and Paseo de la Reforma, where massive skull sculptures and traditional dancers create a mesmerizing spectacle. Markets overflow with sugar skulls and pan de muerto, while families gather in cemeteries to honor their loved ones with music, candles, and offerings. The mix of ancient Aztec traditions and modern festivities makes the city an unforgettable place to experience this unique holiday.
