WWE: Upper Palatinate Germany hike at Rauher Kulm with wine exchange!
February 29, 2020 @ 11:00 am - 2:00 pm
Rauher Kulm is a basalt rock volcano that never erupted. Once you hike to the top, there is a tower with panoramic views. It is a simple, easy hike but with reward.
We will meet at the start of the trail at 11:00 AM. I will be driving a Grey VW Jetta. Parking is free on the side of the road next to the trail. It does cost one euro per adult if you decide to go to the top of the tower, but climbing the stairs to the top of the tower is optional (although I highly recommend). This trail is easy for all fitness levels to get things started! I put that this will take 4 hours, to be on the safe side but it shouldn’t take that long!
Since a lot of fellow members mentioned their love for wine, I thought it would be fun to do a wine exchange at the top! This way we can discover new wines and also learn a little bit about each other. This is optional, but bring a bottle if you would like to participate! (We will take these home to drink, for safety reasons).
