WWE Mt Yamnuska Chocolate Intro to Scramble Hike

Join us for a Intro to Scramble Mt Yamnuska Chocolate Hike.
Straightforward scramble along the backside and back around for the loop. There is a chain section on the backside but nothing too challenging. At the summit we will celebrate with a Chocolate!
This is a moderate to difficult hike. Mostly a hike along the back of the mountain. An average level of fitness is required but our pace is moderate-slow. Please be realistic about your abilities. Please gauge your abilities appropriately.
For safety reasons there is a cap of a maximum of 12 hikers. It is a requirement to read the following trip posting very carefully and to make the proper and responsible preparations for it.
Failure to do so will result in a participant not being allowed on this trip. If the organizer deems it necessary to obtain additional information from you, please provide it, otherwise, you will remain on the waiting list.

Time: 5-6 hours on trail + 1 hrs driving
(Please make sure you’re prepared to stay outdoors in all conditions)
Event Pace: A constant slow to moderate pace will be kept with short brakes along the way to make it back to our cars within the estimated time-frame.
WHAT TO BRING:
• Pack your full supply of water for the day.
• Pack snacks & a light meal (always good this time of year worm tee or soup)
• Dress warm & in layers. Consider wearing a base layer & bringing an extra.
• Warm gloves & hat
• Waterproof or raincoat top layer
• Gaiter and microspikes (mandatory)
• Rock Helmet (mandatory)
• Hiking shoes with good traction
• A light backpack to put layers in as you shed them
• Handwarmers & toe warmers (optional)
