Women Who Explore: Vancouver Island – Mount Washington Ski Day
January 16, 2020 @ 8:30 am - 4:30 pm
Join us at Mount Washington to have a day of skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, tubing, or “apres all daying”! We’ll be leaving from Victoria (5:30 AM departure, carpool to be arranged) to get there for 8:30 AM/first chair, and leaving the hill at 4:30 PM to head back home. Please let us know if you are able to car pool, or require a ride. Unfortunately the ski bus is not running from Victoria on this day.
To offset costs we encourage people to get the Vancouver Island Brewery Winter Mixer 12 pack that contains the 2 for 1 coupon. Our goal is to have enough so all participants have a coupon buddy and we all pay half price! Please let us know if you have a coupon.
***Please note, the ambassadors are not ski/board coaches, guides or Wilderness First Aid trained. This is a casual get together for shared outdoor enthusiasts. Safety is a top priority; please plan accordingly. It is your responsibility to participate within your abilities/skill level. Luckily Mount Washington has terrain that can accommodate all skill levels. You are also responsible for your own gear/rentals and food for the day.***
Friendly reminder to sign the e-waiver before attending your first event. The waiver must be signed annually. E-Waiver

If you are registering for one of our group meet ups, we ask that you are 100% committed to attending. If you reserve a spot and cannot attend, please cancel as soon as possible. We ask that you try to cancel at least one week prior to the day of the event. This allows for other women who want to join us to be able to attend in your place. If you are cancelling, you must do so through Eventbrite. Please do not email us to cancel your ticket. You can cancel your ticket by using this information in your confirmation email or by signing into your Eventbrite account. We do keep track of no-shows and late cancels for all of our group meet ups. A late cancel would be any cancellation within 48 hours of the start of the event. If you have more than two no-shows or late cancels, future registrations for events may be automatically cancelled on your behalf at the discretion of Women Who Explore. If you have an extenuating circumstance for having to cancel, please let us know by reaching out to the ambassador hosting the event or you can email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you for your understanding and consideration.
