Women Who Explore Bend OR and Area Snowshoe to Tumalo Falls
February 1 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm
Join us for a beautiful snowshoe to Tumalo Falls. We will be snowshoeing up Tumalo Falls Road, which is closed to vehicles during the winter. This trail is 4.5 miles out and back (2.25 miles to the falls), and is suitable for all skill levels, with minimal elevation gain. Dogs are able to be on trail. We will meet at the gate at Tumalo Falls Road at 10:00am.
What to bring:
Snowshoes (if you don’t have them, you can rent them for $15 at GearFix!)
Layers appropriate for the weather
From Bend: Take Skyliners Rd. west, toward the mountains. After 8.7 miles, you will make a slight right onto Tumalo Falls Rd. About 0.5 miles in, you will reach the gate. You may park along Tumalo Falls Rd., or the adjacent Bearwallow Rd. Please note that since this is National Forest land, either a NW Forest Pass or $5 day-use fee will be required for parking.
***Please Note: Ambassadors are not wilderness first aid certified. This is a casual get together for shared outdoor enthusiasts. Safety is top priority: please plan accordingly.***
Please remember to sign the e-waiver (pinned at the top of the WWE Bend OR and Area page) before attending your first event. The waiver must be signed annually.
