“Turtle” Snowshoe – Shark Lake

February 29, 2020 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Hello ladies!!!!

It’s been a hot minute since we’ve done a “Turtle” hike, so how about a “Turtle” snowshoe!?!

Please join me for a SLOW and steady snowshoe to Shark Lake. Although all are welcome, this event is intended for the slower members of our community who may want/need to take more breaks and who are more interested in the journey. Beautiful scenery and lively conversation are guaranteed. The goal is to stick to together throughout the walk so pace will be that of the slowest hiker.

The Deets:

Distance: 7.7km
Elevation gain: 209m
Route Type: Out and Back

What to bring:
– Snowshoes!!
– Poles (optional)
– Snacks and water
– Layers (avoiding cotton)
– Toque, mitts, buff
– Bear spray (dyk, they don’t sleep all winter? better safe then sorry!)

We will meet at the trail head at 10 am. (50.84654, -115.35627). If you would like to carpool from the PetroCan please coordinate in the comments below.

A reminder, we are not a professional guides, only facilitators. Please sign the waiver below before meeting at the trailhead.
