Rattlesnake Ledge to East Peak & Lunch at Twede’s Cafe
December 22, 2019 @ 8:45 am - 3:00 pm
Join us on Sunday for a hike up Rattlesnake Ledge with an option to extend the hike all the way out to the East Peak. After the hike we will grab lunch at Twede’s Cafe in downtown North Bend.
We will meet at 8:45 a.m. at the trailhead to begin. The hike up to Rattlesnake Ledge is 4 miles round trip through a beautiful forest with 1160 feet in elevation gain that leads you to incredible views overlooking the Cedar River watershed, Mount Si, Mount Washington and Rattlesnake Lake. We will make a stop at the top of the ledge to take in the views and have a snack. From here there is an option to extend the hike and continue along Rattlesnake Ridge to the east peak. This extension brings the total to 8.6 miles RT and 2500 ft elevation gain. Depending on what everyone decides, we can part ways here and for this who want can continue on and anyone who wants can also head back down the trail to the lake. After the hike is complete, we will head to Twede’s Cafe in downtown North Bend for lunch.
