Where: Michigan Ditch in Cameron Pass

Description: Snowshoe and winter hike! Michigan Ditch is a great area for some really fabulous views of Nokhu Crags and Diamond Pass without a huge elevation change.

Length: 6.5 miles one way (we will go as far as the group wants)

Difficulty: Easy

Elevation Gain: 225 feet

Access: Park at the summit parking lot on Cameron Pass and cross Hwy 14 to access the trail.

If you would like to rent snowshoes, I will attach rental information below. You could also come and just hike IF you have good snow boots and are willing to post-hole your way if the snow is super deep.

What to bring:

– snow appropriate clothing including snow pants, boots, hat, gloves, long underwear, face shield or scarf, warm socks

-full supply of water

-snacks

-sunglasses, sunscreen

-light backpack for shedded layers and supplies

-snowshoes. Optional: poles

-optional: thermos of hot cocoa to share afterwards!

All rentals are for 24 hours and do not include poles. Poles may be rented for an additional fee. I have a few extra sets of poles, so if you’d like to borrow for the day, please send me a message.

Also, please keep in mind their hours of operation! If renting from Christy or Outpost, it may make sense to rent on Saturday evening and drop off on Sunday evening.
